I came across Monte Alexander's case and felt compelled to write something. The part that's really been bugging me is how the community has tried to rally around his family ever since. I recently read that some locals have organized vigils and community meetings to keep the case in the public eye, and it's heartening to see how people have come together despite the lack of closure. Living in a small town myself, I know how close-knit communities can become when faced with tragedy. It's just so important for the family to feel supported, and for others to remember Monte as a vibrant part of the community rather than just a case. I can only imagine how challenging it must be for his family each day, hoping for answers and some semblance of peace. Anyone who has attended any of these gatherings, what’ve they been like? Are they bringing any new attention to the case?
