It's absolutely devastating to think about how Demarcus's life was cut short in such a brutal way. I keep coming back to the fact that his family has to navigate through life now without him, especially his siblings who must feel the loss incredibly deeply being such a large, tightly-knit group. I think about how those brothers and sisters might have leaned on each other for strength and guidance, but now they have this huge void. It’s such a testament to the community and family bonds in Baton Rouge that people came together to offer support and love to the Rheams family, showing that they don't have to face this alone. I hope the authorities are doing everything they can to get answers and justice for Demarcus and his family. My thoughts are with them during this unfathomable time.
