I've been following the case of Arglister Cheatham and can't stop thinking about the first moments he was found. Cpl. Vincent Webb, the officer who discovered him, was immediately put on administrative leave, which is standard, but it makes me wonder about the emotional toll on first responders in situations like this. They see the victim in their rawest, most vulnerable state, which must be incredibly difficult on their mental health. It feels like sometimes we overlook the emotional impact on those first at the scene. I can't imagine what Arglister's family is going through waiting for answers, but I also think about Cpl. Webb and other officers who face such scenes regularly. How do they cope with these tragedies day in and day out without the closure that's so desperately needed? The family deserves justice, and I hope they find peace someday. Sending love to everyone affected by this tragedy.
