I’ve been following the Clostio case, and what really strikes me is just how quiet the whole thing is. This community seems to have really closed ranks around the memory of Benita and Harry. They've been described as this loving couple who had been pillars of their community for so many decades. It's difficult to imagine what kind of despair might lead to this outcome after 70 years of marriage. If anyone here is from Kaplan or knew them, I’d love to hear more about who they were as people. Did they have family nearby? Sometimes it feels like the human side gets lost amid the facts, and I think remembering Benita and Harry for who they were is important. Thoughts are with their family and friends as they try to make sense of this tragedy.

Does anyone else find it so deeply puzzling that a couple married for over 70 years could end in such tragedy? I can't help but wonder if there were underlying factors, perhaps related to their health or state of mind, given their advanced age. It's hard to imagine what might have driven Harry to such a desperate act against the woman he'd shared his life with for so long. My thoughts are with their family and the community in Kaplan that must still be trying to make sense of this. As much as we read and try to piece these stories together, I think it's a sobering reminder that sometimes we'll never fully understand what happens behind closed doors. What are others' thoughts on this?
