I came across the case of Jessie James Cooper while reading through old missing persons reports, and something that stands out to me is how little coverage his story seems to have received over the years. It's baffling because, given his vulnerable state at the time, you'd think there would have been more urgency around his search back in '93 and following years. Do you think this could be due to changes in how missing persons cases are handled today compared to then? I’m trying to understand if there were missed opportunities in the investigation, or if it's a matter of lacking resources/priorities back in the day. Has anyone heard about updates or anything local media might have reported back in the 90s that didn't make it into internet archives? Would love to hear thoughts or memories from anyone familiar with the case from around that time.
