I came across this case recently and it’s just so tough to wrap my mind around. I wanted to chime in specifically about the neighbors and community who knew Amanda and Casey. Several folks I’ve read about described Amanda as very devoted to her kids and actively involved in their activities. It's clear she made a positive impact on those around her. Hearing that both families and neighbors have come together to support the children during this time really shows the strength of the community in Houma. They’ve set up support networks for the kids, now under the care of their maternal grandparents. It really speaks volumes about the humanity that emerges in such dark times. It’s a small comfort amidst all the pain, knowing they are being cared for people who knew and loved Amanda so much. Has anyone else been following the response from the community? How are the kids doing now?
