I keep thinking about how Roshawn was not only a deacon but also a young father of three. It’s chilling to think that someone so committed to his family and community could be gunned down like this. It's baffling to me how such a senseless act can go unpunished for so long. From what I've gathered, he was coming back from a long day, maybe trying to catch a moment to himself, when he was assaulted. Did anyone witness anything unusual that night on St. Bernard Avenue? I can’t help but feel for his kids growing up without their dad. Little ones like that shouldn’t have to face such a harsh world. My thoughts go out to them and the rest of Roshawn’s family. I hope the community continues to rally around them.

Has anyone else been following the case of Roshawn Smith in New Orleans? I recently came across a detail that really struck me—Smith was a deacon and so involved with his church. I can only imagine the void his passing has left in that community. It’s just so tragic to lose someone who did so much good and touched so many lives. I was wondering if anyone here had insight into how his church is coping with this loss or if they’ve held any recent events in his honor? I can only hope that one day justice will be served for Roshawn and his family. Every time I revisit this case, it’s a reminder of how much we need to support one another and push for answers. My heart goes out to his family and community.
