I’ve been following Donald "Stoney" Boatman Jr.'s case, and while the details are sparse, there’s something about his story that really moved me. Reading about the Home Going Celebration they held for him just gave me chills. It’s clear that he was loved by so many. Seeing photos from that day where the community came together just shows the impact Stoney had on those around him. I can't help but wonder what his future might have held. My heart goes out to his mom, Alice, and his fiancé. It's unimaginable to lose someone so vibrant and full of life. Has anyone else come across any other tributes or shared memories of him? Being able to see how he touched other lives could be a way to honor his memory during such a difficult time.
Hey everyone, I've been thinking a lot about Donald Boatman Jr.'s step-daughter, Braydon. It must have been incredibly tough for someone so young to lose a father figure like Donald, who seemed to be such a lively and loved presence. From what I understand, Donald was really close to his family, and I can only imagine how Braydon is coping, especially at such a pivotal time in her life. Losing someone who's been in a parental role can have a lasting impact, and I truly hope she has a solid support system around her. If anyone knows of any community support or resources available for families in New Iberia dealing with such losses, sharing them could really help those affected. My thoughts remain with Donald's family and especially with little Braydon as they navigate this difficult time.

Losing someone so young with such a bright future is never easy. His life was undoubtedly celebrated by many at the Home Going Celebration, surrounded by those who loved and cherished him. It’s moments like these that remind us of the importance of community and the power of coming together to support one another through grief. My heart goes out to his mother, Alice Marie Olivier, and his fiancé, Breanna Bowers. I hope they continue to find strength in the love and memories they share of Donald. Does anyone know if there have been any local community initiatives or support groups in New Iberia that have been active in helping families in similar situations? It might be comforting to those who are still mourning to connect with others who understand their pain.
