Has anyone else dug into the strange circumstances around Van Reeth’s husband, Don Stecchi, also known as John Joseph Kalhauser? I can't help but wonder how he managed to live under a false identity for so long in Arizona without raising any suspicions. It's eerie to think he had such a significant criminal past, including charges of manslaughter and attempted murder in Massachusetts, yet lived for years without any apparent legal issues catching up to him until Van Reeth disappeared. And then there's this unsettling link to another case—the murder of Brenda Gerow. It makes me think about the possibility of more connections that haven't been uncovered yet. Could Kalhauser have had a role in other unsolved cases during his time using an alias? The whole situation is just so unsettling. How did no one suspect anything with him having such a complicated and violent background? I’d love to know if anyone else has any theories or has come across related cases where hidden identities played a key role.
