Hey everyone, I've been following the case of Robert Rochon's tragic death, and something that's been on my mind is the New Orleans community's response, especially in Algiers where the incident happened. It must have been so hard for his family and friends, knowing he was such a bright young man with a potential future ahead of him. From what I've read, Robert was deeply involved in his community through his job at Rouses and his time at Delgado Community College. It's moving to see how much love and support has been shown in his memory. Does anyone know if there were any community vigils or rallies organized in Algiers or elsewhere in New Orleans to honor him? It's often those kinds of gatherings that bring people together to not only remember the person who passed but also to push for change and justice. If there were any, I think it's important we share those stories too, as they reflect the community's strength and solidarity in the face of this tragedy. Sending my thoughts to Robert’s family and all who knew him. Let’s hope justice is served, and such incidents decrease in the future.

I stumbled upon Robert Rochon's case and wanted to share thoughts on a detail that’s been on my mind. It breaks me to see such young lives taken by violence; our communities deserve so much better. From what I’ve gathered, Robert seemed to have a decent routine, balancing work at Rouses Supermarket and college at Delgado. Being a student and holding a job must have required dedication and responsibility, traits that speak volumes about his character. I can’t help thinking about the area he was in when this happened — De Armas Street in Algiers. I wonder if he was in the wrong place at the wrong time, or if there was something else at play. Does anyone know if this street or neighborhood has a reputation for crime? Is it possible that living in that area contributed to this tragedy? Whatever the case, I hope the New Orleans Police Department keeps digging until they find those responsible. Robert deserves justice, and his family deserves answers. My thoughts are with them as they navigate this unimaginable loss.
