Hey everyone, I came across Richard Harosin’s case recently and I’m curious about the community's thoughts on why cases from the 1990s, like his, seem so hard to solve. With the tech and forensic advancements that have come in the last few decades, do you think older cases are destined to remain mysteries? Or is there real hope some new lead could pop up, even after all this time? Feels frustrating that despite 11 months of investigation back then, nothing substantial was found. Wondering how the families cope with such lingering uncertainty. What do you all think? Anyone familiar with why investigations might hit dead ends despite concerted efforts?

Has anyone looked into the significance of the Togus Medical Facility in Richard Harosin's case? I find it intriguing that the Augusta Police Department's investigation seems to have kicked off there. Could there be records or people at Togus who might have noticed something unusual around the time Richard disappeared? It's a long shot, but maybe there's someone who worked there back in '98 who remembers something odd or out of place. Sometimes the smallest detail can make a difference, especially in cases with such little evidence. If anyone has connections or knows someone who was there back then, maybe it’s worth asking around. You never know what might surface after all these years!

I’ve been following Richard Harosin’s case on and off, and one thing that strikes me is the role that the Togus Medical Facility might play in the timeline. Does anyone know if there were any significant delays or miscommunications between the facility and the police that could have impacted the initial investigation? I find it odd that there was an 18-day gap between when he was last seen and when the report was filed. Could this have been a critical period for gathering evidence or leads? If anyone has insight into how cases from medical facilities are typically handled, especially back in the 90s, that would be really interesting to know. Maybe there’s a chance we’re overlooking something.
