I recently stumbled across the case of Eric Joseph Barbree and something about it caught my attention. He was last seen at Tunnel Rock at Sand Dollar Beach, which I've visited a few times. If you know the area, you'll know that the currents there can be surprisingly strong. I remember once, we saw a couple of seasoned surfers having a rough time just trying to get back to shore. Could this have played a role in what happened to Eric? Also, was there anyone else swimming with him that day who has more details? Just trying to piece together some possibilities. It's puzzling there wasn't even a trace of him found afterwards. Anyone else have thoughts on what might have happened or any experience with the ocean conditions there around late November?
