Has anyone else considered the possibility that Carmen Gonzalez might have been trying to meet someone in the area around the time of her disappearance? The fact that she didn't check out from the motel and left her belongings behind has me wondering if she was planning to return after a meeting or appointment. The location of her van, abandoned in the Sangre de Cristo Mountains, could suggest she was meeting someone off the beaten path. Maybe someone local could weigh in on whether that canyon area is known for anything specific—hiking, secluded meet-ups, anything? Anyone with knowledge of the area have thoughts on why Carmen might have been headed there? It’s puzzling how neither footprints nor other traces were found near the van. Any insight would be appreciated!
