Hey everyone, I've been following Muhiyidin Moye's case since it happened, and something that's been on my mind is the environment that led to such a tragic event. I've been thinking about how vital street safety is for everyone, especially those who are out at odd hours for work or activism like Moye was. New Orleans seems to have a complicated relationship with crime and safety, and I can't help but wonder if there are any ongoing community initiatives for improving safety in the area. Knowing what Moye dedicated his life to, it breaks my heart to find that he might have fallen victim to the very societal issues he worked so hard to fight against. It just makes his loss feel even more profound. If anyone has updates about community efforts or knows how people might continue to support his cause in tangible ways, please share. Keeping his passion for justice alive through continued action feels like it could be a powerful way to honor his memory. Sending thoughts of peace and strength to his family and everyone who knew and worked alongside him.
