Hey everyone, I'm still trying to wrap my head around the tragic loss of Jarius Jimmerson. I can't imagine the pain his family must be going through, especially with his baby on the way. One thing that really stood out to me is the long-term impact this has on his fiancée and their child. Growing up without a father because of violence is a reality too many kids face these days, and it's just so unfair. I was wondering about the role witnesses play in cases like these. Jarius was supposed to testify against Roderick Adams—does anyone else think this might have played a part in what happened to him? As gut-wrenching as it is to consider, the possibility of intimidation or silencing witnesses isn't uncommon, and it's frightening to think about. This case truly highlights the risk that comes with being brave enough to stand up for justice. I hope Jarius’s family gets some semblance of peace from knowing how brave he was. I've heard the community in Bastrop is still reeling from the shock, which proves how deeply he touched those around him. Sending my thoughts and support to everyone affected by this tragedy. ?
