I just stumbled across Victor Ray Greenwood’s case from Atoka, and something about it really got to me. Does anyone else find it strange that there’s been no activity on his Social Security benefits since he disappeared? It’s like he just vanished into thin air and never looked back. Given that his benefits were managed through a payee, wouldn't there be some kind of red flag if he suddenly stopped needing them? I can't help but wonder if anyone in his circle might have known more or noticed any unusual behavior right before the disappearance. It's chilling to think how mental health issues can complicate everything, especially for someone already going through so much after losing his mom. Could he have just wandered off somewhere during an episode, or is there more to the story? It’s been over 20 years, but maybe someone out there knows something, even if it seems insignificant. ?️‍♀️
Just read about the Victor Ray Greenwood case and something really stood out to me. Has anyone else noticed the timing of his mother’s death in relation to his disappearance? Losing a parent is incredibly tough and can have such a profound impact, especially on someone already dealing with mental health struggles. I wonder if his disappearance is tied more closely to his grief and mental state than initially thought. It's so sad to think he might have been wandering while experiencing hallucinations simply because he was overwhelmed by his emotions. Has there ever been a focus on checking areas where he'd go to seek comfort or that were connected to memories of his mom? Sometimes, people in distress might gravitate towards places that hold personal significance. Just a thought here, but could be worth considering if it hasn’t been looked into thoroughly.
Has anyone looked into the possibility of Victor having ended up in another state? Sometimes people experiencing severe mental health episodes can travel far without realizing it. Given that he left everything behind and hasn’t used his Social Security benefits since his disappearance, it makes me wonder if he somehow got on a bus or hitched a ride without any clear destination in mind. Maybe checking transportation hubs for any unclaimed belongings from around that time could provide some clues? I hope his family finds some answers soon. If anyone has any thoughts on this or knows if anything like this has been explored, I’d be interested to hear!
