Hey everyone, I've been following the tragic case of Leroy Benn Jr., and something that really stands out to me is the role played by the community in bringing justice for his family. It's evident how deeply Leroy's death affected not just his immediate family but the entire Algiers neighborhood. His porch, once a place where he likely spent quality time with family, became the scene of such a devastating event. It's heartening, though, to see community members coming together to support his family and work with law enforcement to ensure those responsible were held accountable. I've read that the local activists and groups in New Orleans are stepping up efforts to address the underlying issues of violence in the area. It makes me wonder if there are new community initiatives or programs that have been started in his memory. It's so important to carry forward Leroy's legacy and work towards a safer environment for his kids and future generations. If anyone has more information on what's being done locally or knows how people can help, please share. Together, we can keep advocating for change and hopefully prevent future tragedies like this one.
