I've been reflecting on the children who witnessed the tragic event in Harvey. It's hard to fathom the trauma they must carry, having seen something so shocking and tragic unfold before their eyes. The fact that they were unharmed physically doesn't erase the emotional turmoil they must be experiencing. They're so young to have their world upended like this. I sincerely hope they are receiving the emotional support and care they need. Growing up without their mom and dealing with this memory is an unimaginable challenge. It makes me wonder about the support systems in place for children like them who go through such horrific experiences. If anyone knows more about what services or help they might be receiving, I'd love to hear. Their well-being is just so crucial now.
