Hey everyone, I've been thinking about how the community of Lake Charles has come together since the tragic murder of Elgin Green. It's truly touching to see how much support and love has been pouring out for his family and loved ones during such a difficult time. Elgin wasn't just a name in the local music scene; he was someone who really believed in uplifting others and making a difference through his art. I've heard so many stories of how he used his music to bring people together and to inspire young artists in the area. His involvement with the Cathedral of Faith Missionary Baptist Church and various community events showed how he put his heart into everything he did. I can't help but feel that the least we can do is to keep sharing his story and ensuring that justice is served, not just for Elgin but for everyone in the community. It would be great if more people came forward with any bits of info they might have, no matter how small it may seem. It’s clear that Elgin's music and legacy have left a lasting impression, and continuing to celebrate that might just be what his kids and family need most right now. Let’s keep his memory alive by being there for his family and supporting the investigation however we can.
