I've been following the heartbreaking case of Katherine Pendley and can't stop thinking about their son. It's unimaginable to survive such a terrible ordeal and lose both parents in such a tragic event. The courage it must take to recover physically and emotionally is beyond words. I hope he's got a strong support system around him and is receiving all the love and care he needs. What a traumatic start to 2019 for him. While the case details point to a murder-suicide, I wonder if there were any warning signs or stressors in the family. David's reported meticulous and analytical behavior makes me question if something deeper was going on. It really highlights how little we sometimes know about what's happening behind closed doors. My thoughts are with the Pendley family and their community in Lake Charles as they navigate this difficult time.

I recently came across the heartbreaking case of Katherine and David Pendley, and something that really struck me was Katherine's dedication to her family and community. It seems so unimaginable that someone who brought so much compassion and positivity into the world could be taken in such a tragic manner. I read that she had just started a job with the Calcasieu Parish School Board and was deeply engaged in her faith and community service. It's hard not to think about all the lives she touched and the plans she might have had for continuing her work in Lake Charles. My heart goes out to our town and everyone who knew them. If anyone else has thoughts or local insights into how this has affected the community, please share. It helps to talk about it and remember the light Katherine brought into the world.
