Hey everyone, I've been reading through the posts about the tragic case of Elizabeth and Keith Theriot, and one thing that's been on my mind is the help (or lack thereof) that families like the Theriots receive in situations that are clearly escalating. It seems like Dakota's issues didn't appear overnight, and it's just so baffling to think about what could have been done to prevent this. Knowing that Elizabeth and Keith cared enough to take him in before eventually having to ask him to leave—it's really emotional to think about the tough choices they had to face. Does anyone know if there were any signs or cries for help that might have gone unnoticed? Or if there were opportunities where intervention by mental health services could have made a difference? My thoughts are with the loved ones affected by this terrible tragedy—I can’t even begin to imagine the heartache they must be experiencing.
