Has anyone else been following the case of Keaven Anthony Breaux? I've been thinking a lot about the effects that such a senseless crime has on the victim's family, especially his little girls. Losing a father at such a young age is unimaginable, and the trauma from this type of violence is something that they will carry with them forever. I saw that one of the suspects, Shantianna Pierre, is already in prison for other unrelated charges. It makes me wonder about her background and what led her to that point. How can someone spiral into a life that includes involvement in such violent acts? While justice certainly needs to be served, I can't help but think about the systemic issues and personal circumstances that contribute to criminal behavior.
