Hey everyone,
I've been following the case of Stephen George Jr., and something that strikes me every time is how much he loved the second-line parades. I mean, if you know anything about New Orleans culture, you know those parades are the heartbeat of the community. It's where joy and tradition merge, and Stephen was right in the middle of it all. It's hard not to think about how his infectious spirit is sorely missed at these events now.
Has anyone heard if the community has done any memorials or second-line tributes in his honor? It just seems like such a fitting way to remember a man who cherished his culture so deeply. I'm hoping the city can come together to commemorate someone who clearly meant so much to them. If anyone has any info or memories to share, I'd love to hear more about how he's been celebrated.
Let's keep keeping his spirit alive while we push for justice. The family and friends must feel such a profound emptiness. We owe it to them to stay vigilant and hopeful that they get the answers they need.
Take care, and hug your loved ones tight. ?
Has anyone else seen that the second-line parade community is rallying for justice for Stephen George Jr.? It’s been over four years since he and Kendrick were killed, and I came across a post mentioning a gathering in his memory. It's inspiring to see how the love for New Orleans culture is being used as a tool for healing and support for his family. There's something incredibly powerful about people coming together, turning grief into action, and refusing to let his memory fade. Hopefully, this increased attention can eventually lead to someone coming forward with the key piece of information that can help solve this case. If you're in NOLA, it might be worth checking out these community events or sharing his story on social media. It's time justice is served for Stephen and Kendrick. Thoughts?
