I was just thinking about how Jace Scott's case really underscores the need for safer environments within educational institutions, even if they're not directly affiliated with the school itself. It's so tragic that such a promising young life was cut short by violence in a space meant for growth and opportunity. I can't even begin to imagine the pain Jace's family must be going through, especially with the anniversary falling around the holidays. It just breaks my heart to know that his mom has to live with the reality of losing her son and the unfinished potential he carried with him. It feels like there needs to be a broader conversation about resources and protection, especially in spaces where young people gather for education and business endeavors. This isn't just a statistic—this was someone's son, friend, and community member. I hope we can find ways to honor Jace's memory through meaningful change.
