I’ve been following Joah Ross's case, and something that's been on my mind is the initial misclassification of his death as an accidental overdose. It's truly disheartening to think about how crucial evidence might have been overlooked at first. I can't imagine the frustration and pain his family must have felt during those early days when they knew something was off but didn't have all the answers.
The fact that the funeral workers had to raise an alarm about the gunshot wound really shows the importance of thorough examinations right from the start. It's just chilling to think about how close this could have come to staying a cold case, and how many others might not get the second look they deserve. I'm really hoping this brings more attention to the processes that need improvement so that other families don’t have to wait so long for the truth to come to light. Sending strength to Joah’s family and hoping they find peace in the midst of all this.
