Hey everyone, I’ve been following Brandon White’s case for a while now, and something that’s been bothering me is how challenging it seems to get any witnesses to come forward. I know this is a common thread in a lot of unsolved cases in Detroit, but I just can't imagine the frustration and sadness his family must feel every day not having any closure. I keep thinking about what it would take for someone to feel comfortable enough to share what they know—is it fear of retaliation that holds people back, or is there simply a lack of trust in the system? It’s a reminder of how tightly these socioeconomic and community issues are intertwined with crime. Community engagement is so crucial, but how does one even begin to tackle that fear, especially when it seems that every sector of support is spread so thin? If anyone has seen cases where community outreach has successfully encouraged witnesses to come forward, I’d love to hear about it. Brandon deserves justice, just like every other victim that's fallen through the cracks. His family deserves answers—whatever it takes. Does anyone else have thoughts on how the community might bridge this gap or have any examples from other cities that have faced similar issues? Hoping for answers and some peace for Brandon's family, [Username]
