Has anyone else been following the details about Tyler Batiste's case? I’ve been thinking about how much harder this must be for Tyler’s family, considering the way the shooting took place so close to home—literally at his doorstep. It’s just such a terrifying thought. What must Tyler have felt in those moments when he answered the door? The fact that the bullets even went into his neighbor's home just underscores the randomness and recklessness of gun violence. It’s a relief that no one else was hit, but it’s still so shocking.
I can’t imagine how the neighbors are feeling, knowing that their homes were pierced by those bullets too. It’s such a close-knit element to this crime that makes it even scarier. I really hope the community is coming together to support each other and especially Tyler’s family during this time. Also, true justice for Tyler is so important—and figuring out the "why" behind this. Sending love to everyone affected.
I can't get over how dangerous it is when gunfire in a neighborhood hits more than one house. The fact that bullets went through Tyler's home and even into his neighbor's house makes me wonder about the safety of everyone living nearby. Thankfully, no one else was physically harmed, but the sheer terror of it is unimaginable.
