I've been thinking a lot about the children involved in the Willie Zachary case. It's such a devastating situation for them to be surrounded by so much turmoil and loss at such a young age. The innocence of childhood should be preserved, and now they're facing something no child should ever have to experience. My heart goes out to those little ones who are no doubt trying to make sense of something so senseless. I hope that they have a strong support system around them to help navigate this unimaginable time. Has there been any mention of family or community support groups stepping in for them? The community of Port Barre seems very close-knit, and perhaps it’s moments like these when that bond becomes so important.
