I just can't wrap my head around this tragedy. Treasure Tucker was just five years old and had so much life ahead of her. I've been reading about the community around the Parkview Apartments, and it seems like they really tried to look out for one another. It's so tough knowing that people witnessed Brittany's distress and felt helpless about what to do. How can a tight-knit community be expected to handle something so severe without proper support? I hope this leads to a greater focus on providing mental health resources not only for individuals but for communities as well. It's just so sad to think of what might have been if there had been more help available for Brittany in her time of crisis. My heart goes out to everyone affected, especially the family and friends of Treasure and her siblings. They all deserved so much better.
