It's been over three years since Jason "Goonie" Jam's tragic passing, and I'm still shaken by the impact he had on the Baton Rouge community. I've recently been reflecting on how his entrepreneurship not only inspired many but also brought people together. His ventures, like Fun Time Adventure and Jam's Party Bus, were more than businesses; they were pieces of his heart shared with the community. Through his work, he gave countless people a chance to experience joy and connection. Those who knew Jason always mention his dedication to bringing smiles and a good time to others. It's clear that his entrepreneurial spirit was rooted deeply in a love for his community and a desire to create spaces for enjoyment and togetherness. Jason's legacy lives on through those joyful memories—and while the arrest and pursuit of justice bring some solace, the void left by his energy and enthusiasm cannot be overstated. To his family and friends, I hope you know that many of us are still holding space for Jason's memory and carrying forward what he instilled in the community. His impact was profound and continues to be felt far and wide.
