The circumstances surrounding Daryl Chaney's murder are baffling, and my heart goes out to his family and friends during this incredibly difficult time. I wanted to bring up the community response in the days following the tragic event. I've read that several local residents have been vocal about feeling unsafe and have even organized community watch meetings in an effort to foster solidarity and vigilance. It's touching to see people coming together, but also deeply sad that it takes such a terrible event to spur this kind of action. I hope the added community pressure encourages more people to speak up if they know anything. It just breaks my heart to think that Daryl's family still doesn't have answers.
