I can't stop thinking about the impact Marshall had on his community. It's just so hard to wrap my head around how someone who brought so much light to those around him could be taken in such a senseless and violent way. I heard he was really active in his church community at Macedonia Baptist and had a way with people—he'd listen to others' troubles and offer a shoulder to lean on. It's heartbreaking that violence over something as trivial as shoes could shatter the lives of so many people. Has anyone heard how his family is holding up? I can't imagine the pain they're going through. We should all be standing together to support them and ensure that no one else has to endure such a tragedy.
