Hey everyone,
I’ve been digging into the case of the missing plane with Ralph Aiken, Ricky Posusta, and Ian Beer on board from 2006, and one thing that's caught my attention is the weather conditions on that day. Does anyone have more details about what the weather was like during their flight? From what I gather, the route between Kenai and Anchorage can be pretty tricky, especially if there were storms or low visibility.
Was the weather mentioned in any official reports? It seems like such a crucial factor in small aircraft incidents, and I haven't been able to find much about it. Any pilots here who can weigh in on what kind of conditions might make flying that route particularly dangerous?
Hoping someone has that extra bit of insight. Thanks!
Has anyone else looked into the weather conditions from the day Ralph Aiken and the others disappeared? I was digging through some old reports and saw that visibility wasn’t great due to some clouds and light rain over the area. I can’t help but wonder if that played a part in the plane going off course or if it affected any potential emergency communication. I know these guys were experienced, but could the weather have surprised them somehow? Thoughts?
