I'm really curious about the Gladeside Urban Wild area where Mariotis Harris was found. Has anyone else in the community noticed anything odd there before or after the incident in 2007? It seems like such a secluded spot, it's baffling how something so tragic could happen without anyone seeing or hearing anything. I wonder if there were any reports of suspicious activities or strange sightings in the days leading up to the discovery of his body. My heart goes out to Mariotis's family and friends—I hope justice is served and they find some peace. If anyone has more insights or theories about why the area might have been targeted around that time, it could help shed some light on the case and maybe even spark new leads.
Hi everyone,
I’m new to this forum and wanted to talk about something that’s been on my mind regarding Mariotis Harris's case. I just can't stop thinking about the location where Mariotis was found. The Gladeside Urban Wild isn't exactly a popular spot, which makes it all the more puzzling why someone would choose it for such a horrible purpose. It got me wondering if this place held any significance to Mariotis or if maybe it was known among locals as a secluded area?
His poor family must be going through an unimaginable nightmare not knowing what happened and why. I keep hoping someone comes forward. The tight-knit nature of the community might hold the key to finding justice for him.
Has anyone else on here ever been to or heard of this Gladeside area before all this happened? It must have been shocking for a place that was so quiet to suddenly be marked by such tragedy. Any insight from folks familiar with Mattapan would be helpful. Maybe together, we can bring some more awareness to this and, ultimately, hope it leads to peace for Mariotis’s family.
Sending thoughts to all affected,

I was thinking about Mariotis Harris today and couldn’t help but wonder about the impact his murder has had on the tight-knit community of Mattapan. It’s been over a decade, yet it must feel like just yesterday for those who knew and loved him. I can’t imagine the pain his family goes through knowing his case remains unsolved. The escalation of violence in the area around Lorna Road back then must have been terrifying. It was a place where families lived, kids played, and yet it turned into a hotbed of fear overnight. It’s so important that we keep talking about Mariotis and cases like his—not just for justice but to remember those lost too soon. Anyone who lived in the area around that time, did you notice things slowly changing before it was officially reported? Any insights could be crucial in keeping his memory alive and maybe bringing some sense of closure.
