I was just reading about Joshua ‘Mission’ Bates and the more I learn about this case, the more my heart goes out to his family. It seems that the French Quarter, such a vibrant, beautiful place, turned into a scene of tragedy that day. I can't even begin to imagine the pain and shock his mother, Cardella, and his siblings must be feeling. To have lost someone so loved, and at such a young age, is beyond devastating. It appears there was surveillance footage involved—hopefully, this will help the case and bring about some form of justice swiftly. In the face of such senseless violence, I hope the community can come together to support his family and honor Joshua’s memory. Anyone else have thoughts on the impact this case has had on New Orleans and its residents?
