Has anyone else been thinking about the broader issue of youth violence in Shreveport lately? After hearing about Carlos Daniels’ case and all the recent incidents, I'm really concerned about what's going on with young people in our community. It’s devastating to see promising lives cut short like this. I can’t imagine what Carlos’ family is going through—losing a child in such a senseless way is unimaginable. The fact that the suspect here is also so young is alarming. What resources are out there to help prevent these situations? Are there organizations or community programs in Shreveport actively working to engage the youth and steer them away from violence? It feels like there needs to be more support and intervention before things escalate like this. Would love to hear thoughts or suggestions from locals—or anyone with experience in this field—about what could be done. Something’s got to change for Carlos and for all the other families affected by such tragedies.
