Hi everyone,
I've been digging into the 2007 murder of Adolphus King in Dorchester, and one aspect that stands out to me is the community response. Residents back then were really banding together, trying to push for change amidst all the chaos — it was a tough year for so many. It's so moving to see how neighbors looked out for each other despite living in a climate of fear and unrest.
There were various grassroots organizations rallying for better policing and community interventions to curb the violence that year. I'm curious if anyone remembers specific initiatives or community leaders who were involved at the time? It’s heartbreaking that all these years later, King’s family still doesn’t have answers, but the strength of his community is something I think should be celebrated. Anyone else have insights on how the community dynamics might have played a role around this time?
