Did anyone else find it odd how Matthew Levine turned himself in after initially reporting Dorothy Vivian Autrey missing? It just seems like a drastic change of events. One moment he's claiming she's gone, the next he's confessing to be responsible—and blaming it on cough syrup and marijuana, of all things. I mean, it's not unheard of for substances to mess with someone's mind, but the fact that he confessed without any immediate pressure from law enforcement makes me wonder if he was trying to control the narrative before things started closing in on him. Plus, there's the whole issue of her being such an active woman, despite her mobility issues, and having that vibrant personality. It's devastating that such a life had to end like this, with so many unanswered questions still lingering. Anyone have thoughts on why he might have come forward like that, even when he could have potentially laid low or fabricated a more elaborate story?

I was curious if anyone else dug into the timeline discrepancies surrounding Dorothy Autrey's disappearance. Matthew Levine reported her missing on February 21, but what puzzles me is his claim that he just "woke up to find her gone." Given that she wasn't known to walk much and her car was still there, it feels off that he wouldn't have immediately suspected something was wrong. Did neighbors hear anything unusual that night? Also, considering her purse was found near the Cayucos pier, I'm wondering if anyone local remembers seeing her around town the day before she vanished. There just seems to be more to uncover here, and I can't stop thinking about possible witnesses or missed details that might provide more context.
