hello I’m Keshun Cole mom, I don’t know how I got to this page. I want say thank you for prayers. Keshun was really loved. Them young men didn’t know him figure that his car look like somebody else started shooting. Keshun was getting off work and talking to me on phone. I didn’t see him anymore. Them boys will only serve 18 years and 10 year. We need ppl that will fight for own kids

KB, I'm so sorry for the loss of your son. It's horribly tragic how often we see such light sentences for such a horrific act. You and your family will be in my prayers tonight.

I've been following Keshun's case closely, and my heart goes out to his family and friends during this unimaginably difficult time. Something that's been on my mind is the role of community support in cases like this. It seems that often, people who might have information are hesitant to come forward, possibly out of fear of retaliation or distrust of law enforcement. I'm curious about how community programs or local initiatives might help bridge that gap and encourage more people to speak up safely.
There must be a way to foster an environment where neighbors feel not just responsible, but empowered to help each other by sharing what they know with authorities. I’ve heard of programs in other cities aimed at strengthening community-police relations and increasing anonymity for tipsters. Do you think something like that could make a difference in Shreveport, or is there an existing program already in place that might need more support? Looking forward to hearing everyone's thoughts.
I've been following the investigation into Keshun Cole's murder, and while it's promising to see some progress with the indictments, my heart truly goes out to the Cole family. I can't imagine the pain they're going through, waiting for justice for Keshun.
What really gets me is how this tragedy unfolded in broad daylight. It's terrifying to think someone could be so brazen. This also raises broader concerns about community safety and what steps can be taken to prevent these senseless acts. The people connected to Keshun’s case, especially those accused of failing to report the crime, remind us of the vital role that vigilance and cooperation play in solving and preventing crimes.
Does anyone know if there have been any new initiatives in the Cedar Grove neighborhood to improve safety or encourage more community engagement? It seems like there’s a dire need for change there.
Has anyone else been following the updates on Keshun Cole's case? The whole situation in Shreveport is just so alarming. I can’t stop thinking about how his family must feel, especially since his murder was just one of two shootings that day. What caught my attention recently was the indictment in October 2021. It feels both relieving and tragic that those responsible, Datavious Simmons and Brandon Glover, have finally been charged. But then there's Joshua Thomas, who didn’t even report the crime—what a gut punch. How disconnected can someone be to just ignore such a tragedy? I really hope this serves as a wake-up call for more people to step up rather than stay silent. My heart goes out to Keshun's family, who must be enduring so much pain. Would these indictments bring them any sense of closure, or does the pain of losing a loved one in such a violent manner never truly fade? Sending love and strength to all of them.
