I can't stop thinking about Cortez's little one, who will now grow up without their father. It's beyond tragic to think of the life sentence of absence that this child will have to endure. I hope the family has a strong support system to help raise this little one with stories of Cortez and his love. The community really needs to rally together to provide the love and strength this family needs right now. We can’t let these young voices go unheard or let this case grow cold. It might seem like another statistic, but it's so much more when you know the faces and the stories behind the numbers. I urge anyone with information to please step forward to help bring justice for Cortez and Keondre. This isn't just for them but for their families and the future they can no longer be a part of.
Has anyone else been following the double homicide case in New Iberia involving Cortez Montgomery and Keondre Carlisle? I keep thinking about how Cortez had recently become a father. I can’t imagine what his family and the mother of his child must be going through right now. Such a young life taken away, and a child left without a father - it’s just devastating. It seems like the police are still trying to piece things together. I really hope they get some leads soon. With so much love for him in the community, I'm hoping someone will come forward with information. It’s crucial that whoever did this is brought to justice, not just for Cortez and Keondre’s families, but for the safety of everyone in New Iberia. My thoughts are with all the families affected.
