I can’t stop thinking about the ripple effects of Devante Jefferson’s tragic passing in New Orleans. Just imagining the pain his loved ones are going through is overwhelming. Devante was so young and had his whole life ahead of him—it's so unfair that was taken from him and his family. The 7th Ward has been dealing with too many of these senseless acts, and it has to change. It's imperative for the community to come together in these times to support each other and seek ways to prevent further tragedies. My heart goes out to Devante’s family and friends during this difficult period. I hope justice will be served in his name, and we can work towards a safer environment for everyone.
