Hi everyone, It's been a while since I posted here, but I’ve been following the tragic case of Luz Enith Botero-Posada and just can't shake how senseless it all feels. The part that really sticks with me is how her children, Sebastian, Emmanuel, and Sophia, have been left without both their parents in such a brutal way. I can't even begin to imagine the trauma and confusion they're facing right now. It’s just been two years, but I hope the community has continued to rally around them, providing the love and support they so desperately need. I heard that Luz’s sister flew in from Colombia to fight for custody, which makes me feel a little hopeful. Family can be such a strong support system during times of unfathomable loss. I hope they’re all finding the healing and solace they need, though I know it’ll be a long road ahead. Also, I wanted to check if anyone knows how the GoFundMe set up by Luz’s niece is doing? I made a small contribution last year, and I hope it’s been a source of relief for them, at least financially. Such tragic circumstances can tear a family apart, but they can also bring people closer, and maybe the funds raised can ease some burden. Let’s keep their memory alive and continue to discuss ways to support victims of domestic violence before it comes to this. Every life matters, and no one should have to suffer like Luz did. Stay safe, everyone.
