On the morning of Monday, August 25, 2008, 42-year-old Troy West was found seated on a bench in the King-Adams playground at the corner of Adams and King streets in Dorchester. He had sustained multiple stab wounds, and Boston Police homicide detectives ruled his death a homicide and opened an investigation.
Detectives canvassed the neighborhood and asked the community for help locating witnesses or information that could identify a suspect or motive. By October 2008 no arrests had been announced and police had not publicly named any suspects, leaving the case cold and the neighborhood unsettled.
Anyone who knew Troy, was in the King-Adams playground that morning, or has information that could help investigators is asked to come forward.
