Hey everyone, I’ve been following the case of Keionna Menard, and something has really stuck with me about Hydea Brent's account of what happened that night. It's horrifying to think about how people mistook the gunshots for fireworks. It makes you wonder how many other incidents go unreported initially because they sound so similar to celebratory sounds like fireworks or backfiring cars. This kind of confusion can delay essential emergency responses. I can’t begin to imagine the panic when the realization set in that it wasn’t just fireworks. My heart goes out to Hydea and everyone else who was there that night, especially those with children playing nearby. The psychological impact on a community experiencing something like this must be immense. Let’s hope more witnesses come forward to assist the investigation, and maybe provide some sense of closure for Keionna's loved ones. Stay safe out there, everyone.

It's so devastating to hear about what happened to Keionna Menard. I keep thinking about the children who were nearby when this all happened. It's terrifying to imagine them playing, so innocent and unaware, while such a terrible event unfolded right in front of them. As a parent, it just breaks my heart. I really hope the police are able to get through to some of the people who were there that night. Someone knows something that might help find out who did this. It's ridiculous how easy it seems for people to get guns. How can we expect our kids to feel safe in their own neighborhoods with this kind of violence happening? My thoughts are with Keionna's loved ones. I can’t even begin to imagine what they're going through right now. I'm truly hoping the task force makes some progress and brings some peace to those affected.
