Has anyone else been following the strange disappearance of Edwin Pritchard and Richard Alicea? I was reading about how experienced Edwin was with this particular route to Bimini, which makes me wonder, could issues with the boat's equipment have played a role? It's odd that only parts of the boat were found. Were maintenance records of their 17-foot Key Largo checked? Sometimes smaller details can be telling, especially when rough weather is involved. It's frustrating the search didn't lead to more answers. Anyone with maritime experience have thoughts on what might have gone wrong?

Hey everyone, I've been following Edwin Pritchard's case since day one, and something that's been bugging me is the weather reports from December 12, 2009. Has anyone else looked into this? I found some archived meteorological data, and it showed rough seas and strong winds between Miami and Bimini on the day they set out. I'm curious if these conditions would have made it almost impossible for such a small boat with a single outboard engine to stay on course. I know most of us are aware they had made the trip to Bimini before, but I wonder if overconfidence in their past successes might have led them to overlook the weather risks this time around. Could it be a key aspect in what went wrong? Would love to hear your thoughts or see any other weather-related insights you might have!

Hey everyone, I recently stumbled upon Edwin Theophilis Pritchard's case and was fascinated by the details. I know we've talked about the weather and the search efforts, but has anyone looked into the boat itself? I’m curious about the Key Largo boat they took out. Does anyone know if it had any prior issues or mechanical problems? There’s been some speculation that the single outboard engine might not have been enough for the potentially rough conditions they faced on the way to Bimini. If anyone has info or thoughts on the boat's condition or seaworthiness, I’d love to hear your take on it. Thanks!
