Has anyone else been following the potential establishment of a new homicide review commission by the East Baton Rouge DA's office in the wake of Rashon Franklin's death? I can't help but feel this could be a vital step in tackling the growing problem of gun violence in the area. It's tragic that a young life like Rashon's had to be lost for such conversations to gain traction, but it gives a sliver of hope that his death might lead to meaningful change. Including community leaders and public health officials alongside law enforcement might be exactly the comprehensive approach needed. Does anyone know how quickly they’re looking to set this up, or what kind of impact similar initiatives have had in other cities? Keeping Rashon’s family in my thoughts. They deserve justice and peace.

Has anyone else been looking into the kind of community support Rashon Franklin's family might be getting? It's so tough to even begin to imagine the heartbreak they’re experiencing, and I can't help but wonder if there’s anything the local community is doing to rally around them, or if there's any fundraisers or memorials happening to honor Rashon's memory. It's incredibly important for families to feel supported during such a tragic time. If anyone's aware of any initiatives, it would be great to share and support those in any way we can. My heart truly goes out to them, and I hope they know they aren't alone.
