I’ve been following the case of Heaven Nettles closely, and it’s just so tragic. My heart goes out to her family, especially her twin brother, Lancer. As a twin myself, I can’t imagine the pain of losing someone I’ve shared my whole life with. Being sophomores in high school, the future probably felt limitless for them. They were both strong students, and Heaven had dreams of becoming a teacher just like her mom. It’s incredibly sad to think about how she was robbed of the chance to fulfill those dreams. Has anyone heard if the community has organized any vigils or memorial services for Heaven? I think it’s important for the community to come together and honor her life in some way.
