I've been following the case of Donald Roberts Jr., and it's such a reminder of how senseless and devastating violence can be. What strikes me most is how this has impacted his kids, especially his son, Donald Roberts III. Losing a father at any age is incredibly tough, but at such a young age, it's unimaginable. I hope the community can rally around the Roberts family to provide the support they need during this painful time. It’s crucial that anyone with information steps forward so that justice can be served, not just for Donald, but for Marvin and Heaven as well. Sending strength and love to all the families involved.
Has anyone looked into the possibility of this being gang-related or maybe a case of mistaken identity? It's just so unsettling that someone like Donald, who seemed to have a solid presence in the community and a career he was proud of, could become a victim of such violence. I keep thinking about his family and all the people at the "Keeping it Real Social Aid and Pleasure Club" who must be feeling this loss in so many ways. New Orleans can be a tightly-knit community, and I hope someone comes forward with information. It’s hard to imagine what the family is going through, especially knowing there’s no closure yet. I truly hope justice is served soon not just for Donald, but for Marvin and Heaven as well.
Hello everyone,
I've been following the tragic case of Donald Roberts Jr. and wanted to bring attention to the missed potential for public safety improvements in the Lafitte Greenway area. It's heartbreaking to think that a place meant for recreation and community gathering could become a site of such violence.
I've lived in New Orleans for years and have seen first-hand how certain areas lack adequate lighting or security presence. It's essential that we advocate for better safety measures in areas like the 2900 block of Conti Street to prevent future tragedies. Nobody should ever have to fear for their life while going about their daily activities.
Does anyone else think that installing more streetlights or security cameras could help? Maybe even organizing community patrols alongside the local authorities? I believe proactive changes could honor the memory of those we've lost, including Mr. Roberts, and help protect our community moving forward.
Sending my thoughts to Donald Roberts Jr.'s family, and hoping for justice and peace for all affected by this terrible loss.
