I came across some interesting information about the night Marl Wayne Smith was killed at the Pub Lounge. Apparently, Marl had installed a security system in the bar a few years ago due to rising incidents in the area. This decision seems to be driven by his desire to keep his patrons and employees safe—showing just how much he cared for his community. It makes me wonder if any footage from that night played a significant role in capturing Rester. It’s a small comfort to know that Marl’s careful nature might have helped bring his killer to justice. My heart truly goes out to his family and the “second family” he created at the Pub Lounge. Wishing them peace and strength during what must be an unimaginable time.
