I just came across this case, and my heart goes out to the Baptiste family and everyone who knew Corey. I read somewhere that Corey was really involved in his community and was known for helping out at local events. It’s devastating how someone who gave so much to his community could be taken away in such a violent manner. It makes me wonder if the community involvement could play into why this happened, although I truly hope not. It's tough seeing another unsolved case in New Orleans. It must be incredibly difficult for his loved ones, not only to lose him but to have so many questions and no answers. I hope that someone who knows something finds the courage to come forward soon. No family should have to wait this long for justice. Keeping them in my thoughts.

Hi everyone, I've been following the tragic case of Corey L. Baptiste, and while there's so much about this story that's left us all looking for answers, I haven't been able to stop thinking about what kind of person Corey must have been. I came across something mentioned in a local news piece that talked about Corey's deep love for music. It's always grounding to remember the person behind the headlines. Knowing how creative people like Corey can touch lives in ways that aren't always visible on the surface, I find myself imagining the numerous lives Corey must have influenced with his passion and talent. Music has a way of bringing people together and creating memories, and I can't help but wonder about the melodies that won’t be heard and the stories that will remain untold. It's incredibly unfair that Corey's son will have to grow up without his father, missing out on potentially sharing these passions. It’s important that we remember Corey for the beauty he brought into this world and hold onto the hope that justice will eventually give some peace to his family. Please, if anyone has any stories or memories about Corey, feel free to share. It's a small way to keep his spirit alive. Hoping for answers soon, [Username]

I was reading about the case of Corey Baptiste, and it’s just devastating to see another life taken due to violence. What's been weighing on me is the impact this has on his family, especially his young son, Corey E. Boyd. Growing up without his father is going to be incredibly tough. I've been following the updates, and it's so frustrating that there still isn’t a suspect or motive months after the tragedy. I can't imagine how hard this wait must be on his family, not knowing who did this or why. If anyone out there has even the smallest piece of information, I hope they come forward. This family needs answers and closure. The area around South Derbigny and Josephine streets seems like it could be pretty active at night. Does anyone in the community know if there were any unusual events or gatherings around there that night? Just trying to think of anything that might help push this investigation forward.
